Moving Truck Genius is an independent guide to renting a moving truck. We are not a truck rental company, a broker, or a lead-generation site. We don't ask for your phone number, and we don't sell your information, because we don't collect it.
Why we built this
Renting a moving truck is more confusing than it should be. The same physical truck is a “15-footer” at one company and a “16-footer” at another. One-way prices for the identical route can differ by hundreds of dollars between companies, and swing week to week. Insurance options are described in jargon at the exact moment you're stressed and signing paperwork.
We started Moving Truck Genius to turn that mess into clear, trustworthy answers. The kind of guidance you'd want from a friend who has moved a dozen times and reads the fine print so you don't have to.
How we stay independent
Our recommendations come down to one thing: what's genuinely best for your move: the company with the most locations, the newest fleet, or the lowest price for your route. We cover U-Haul, Penske, and Budget on equal footing and call the winner as we see it.
To keep the site free, some of our outbound links to rental companies are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you book after clicking. That never changes the price you pay, and it never influences what we recommend. The details are in our affiliate disclosure.
